Profile: David Axe is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and journalist in South Carolina specializing in horror, science fiction, thrillers and high-concept action movies. The author of several graphic novels, he also wrote the 2017 indie thriller THE THETA GIRL and wrote and directed several short and feature films including SHED (2019) and LECTION (2020).
He writes lean, easy-to-produce screenplays based on strong concepts.
His award winning script, MONGER (WriteMovies Fall 2019 Contest Grand Prize Winner & WriteMovies Horror Award Winner), was inspired by his own experiences as a war correspondent and the time he spent with combat troops in several war zones such as Afghanistan.
