While the victors of those categories have already been announced, today we unveil the recipient of the Grand Prize, a substantial $3500 for the best script. The top five entries have also secured fantastic prizes, including script development, opportunities to pitch to industry professionals, and more!

Given the multitude and diversity of submissions, the competition was fierce. If you didn’t make it this time, don’t be disheartened; there are valuable lessons to glean from your scripts for future endeavors:

Audience appeal, often underestimated, stands as the most crucial element. Remember, your script won’t come to life if nobody wants to watch it. Ensure you understand your target audience!

Harness the first ten pages to their fullest potential. Several scripts introduced a narrative in their opening pages that differed from what unfolded in the rest of the script. This initial segment is pivotal, setting expectations and making a lasting impression.

Embrace conflict; it’s pivotal for maintaining engagement. Conflict breeds drama, and without it, our interest wanes. Fear not subjecting your protagonists to challenging situations—we’ll appreciate them all the more for it.
