There’s some fascinating news coming about the August 2019 script sales according to the latest report by Script Pipeline – not least the return to a very famous virtual world.

But for now, here’s the latest news on the August sales from Script Pipeline…
- Twenty years ago, one of the greatest sci-fi/action films introduced us to THE MATRIX – and now it’s time to go back! The sequels may have never lived up to the original, but that doesn’t seem to be stopping Warner Bros. trying again. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are set to return, although how exactly remains to be seen given how the original trilogy wrapped up their characters’ stories.
- The film SEARCHING is another film set to receive a sequel. Set entirely on smartphones and computer screens, the original film made 75 times its $1 million budget; it’s no surprise it’s getting a follow-up!
- An adaptation of the novel THE LAST ADVENTURE OF CONSTANCE VERITY has also been picked up. A film about a girl looking to settle down after fighting supernatural forces her entire life, it remains to be seen whether this will make a splash or just flop as some other films in the genre have.
