Another fantastic contest comes to a close as we announce the winners of the WriteMovies Winter 2020 Screenwriting Contest! A big thanks to everyone who entered, and congratulations to our top three and Honorable Mentions.
Even as the world struggles with the impact of the coronavirus crisis and the resulting lockdowns, we’re DETERMINED to champion great writing and provide support to writers however we can. Continuing on with our contests is a vital part of that as we develop the top three scripts and pitch them to industry – prizes that our three newest winners are about to enjoy, not to mention the $2000 that goes to our Grand Prize Winner!
If you’re disappointed to have missed out this time around, our next contests are also already underway as we search for more great scripts: the standard deadline for both our Sci-Fi and Fantasy Award 2020 and Summer 2020 Screenwriting Contest is coming up THIS SUNDAY, May 3rd – so if you want to enter at the lower price of $39 for screenplays, stageplays, and TV pilots and $49 for books, make sure you move quickly.
And in addition to our contests and regular services, the WriteMovies 100-Day Creative Challenge launched this week, a series of daily prompts for creative activities designed to keep you engaged with your writing. So although everything else might have come to a stop, it’s business as usual here at WriteMovies.
We’re already looking forward to getting our winning scripts from the Winter 2020 Screenwriting Contest out there. This is the most exciting moment of any contest for us, finding scripts we believe in and rewarding our winners for their imagination, talent, and hard work. Well done to everyone who made our Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, or have placed as an Honorable Mention or Winner today!
