We are delighted to announce the semi-finalists for our Summer 2016 Screenwriting Competition. It’s been a tough, yet enjoyable task whittling down the 42 quarter-finalists to this deserving batch of semi-finalists. The finalists, runners-up, and winners are set to be announced on December 2nd.

So why have these 23 scripts made it through to the semi-finals? Because now we’re getting to the business end of things.  The scripts that didn’t make it through from the quarter-finals to the semis all had strong qualities – otherwise, they wouldn’t have made the quarters in the first place! But these 23 have that something extra – either the script, or the writer (or both) have shown us there is potential to become commercially viable, along with the quality of writing itself. There are some promising signs here… and we’re looking forward to announcing the final results in two weeks time!

If you’ve sent us a revised version of a previous script but it’s still not gained the result you were hoping for, we recommend that you consider getting a consultancy on it from us. That way you can find out what we currently feel is holding your script back. CLICK HERE to view all your options for Script Consultancies!
