We’re beginning to pitch THE BEAUTICIAN, a new psychological crime thriller from actor and writer Brendan Kelly, to the international entertainment industry through TalentScout International Management.
Logline: A beautiful woman begins to ensnare New York’s most depraved men, turning their vices into their brutal punishments.
THE BEAUTICIAN follows an impossibly beautiful woman roaming the sleazy, venal streets of New York late at night. She looks like easy prey to the villains of the city – but she has a deadly secret. She loves to turn their own desires, fetishes and corruptions into their fatal flaws.
As the bodies rack up, a pair of hard-bitten, sleazy detectives are set on the case. But are these murders or legitimate street justice? And will their own vices now become their downfall?
More than anything, the question becomes an obsession, not a case: who is this woman and what does she want?
From the mind of former CON AIR, THE ROCK and OZ star Brendan Kelly, comes an unnerving crime thriller that picks up where classics like BASIC INSTINCT and JAGGED EDGE left off.

About the Writer: Brendan Kelly
Brendan Kelly was a world-class fighter who was a sparring partner for Mike Tyson and has trained multiple world champions, fought against street gangs and corruption, and ran an educational programme for at-risk kids.
He also played a memorable role in the major HBO series OZ, as well as several blockbuster films including CON AIR and THE ROCK.
His latest work has evolved from another story that haunted Brendan for years: the brutal assault by Larry Singleton on Mary Vincent in California in 1978. Brendan has now turned it into a psychological thriller with global potential: THE BEAUTICIAN.
Brendan has also written OCCUPATION: GANGSTER, a book based on his time with the infamous New York Irish mob from Hell’s Kitchen. The book tells the story of the Westies and their struggle against the Mafia, drawing on Brendan’s experiences and encounters with figures from New York’s criminal underworld.
