Today is a big day in the WriteMovies calendar, as we announce the Quarter-Finalists of our final Grand Prize contest of 2021, with hundreds of writers looking out to see who’s in the running this time via our many platforms.
And with our first phase of judging complete, today ALSO marks the start of a new phase for the business – of optimising our services and pitching our winners to industry.
We’re super-keen to share our news of all this with you throughout the second half of 2021! And at the heart of it all is one thing – helping take all writers to the next level and establish themselves at the top of the industry. That goal drives everything we do.
Beginning Monday, watch out for announcements about our services throughout the summer, all designed to help YOU get the insights, support and mentoring you need to progress in the industry. But today is about recognising the fantastic efforts that writers have made to get our backing to win our major contest and win our script mentoring and pitching to industry.
There have been a lot of great submissions to both our Spring Contest and our Sci-Fi and Fantasy Award, giving us lots of food for thought and some tough decisions. You can be sure that all of our quarter-finalists are well-deserving of their spot in this round of the contest.
Don’t forget that we’re also only two weeks away from announcing our Semi-Finalists on July 16th – so look out for that!
As the world gets back to some sort of normality, producers are keen to find new projects that they think audiences will love. This will be a great time for our latest winners, as we’ll be providing them with script development and pitching to industry to give them the best possible chances of success.
If you simply can’t wait to find out the winners and want to develop your project now, take a look at our elite mentoring service where you’ll receive one-to-one feedback and advice from top players in the movie industry.
