It’s another big day for us… After a tight round of judging, we have finally whittled down your submissions to the WriteMovies 2022 Writing Contest to the semi-finalists!
We’re getting closer and closer to finding out who our winners are, making this an exciting time of year for us.
Six years ago, STRANGER THINGS first launched on Netflix. The show took the world by storm, perfectly balancing nostalgia with exciting lore, and has left fans constantly wanting more.
Despite taking a lot of influence from Stephen King novels and classic 80s sci-fi, it’s an original IP that has turned into a cultural phenomenon.
Here at WriteMovies, our contests look to spotlight original scripts that could be the next hit like STRANGER THINGS. We believe that all of our semi-finalists had something that made them stand out, and which would make people want to see them on TV screens or in movie theatres in the near future.
We had a lot of difficult decisions to make, but this is the penultimate round of the contest and the competition only gets tougher and tougher.
Ladies and gentlemen, here are the semi-finalists of the WriteMovies 2022 Screenwriting Contest!
