WriteMovies Contest Luncheon - Dec. 12, 2011

Once again, Louise's Trattoria in Los Angeles, CA played a wonderful host to our winners' luncheon on December 12, 2011. Hosted by WriteMovies' Freddie DeLaVega, we had contest winners from France, Tennessee, New York and Los Angeles on hand to meet with industry experts and discuss their future and winning scripts. In attendance were former Universal Executive and Producer Peter Saphier, Chris Lockhart, Story Editor at WME, and Creative Executive for Mutual Film Co., Greg Rodgers.

While the famous L.A. weather decided to take a bit of a break, everyone had a great time, learned a lot from each other, and made excellent connections for the future. Congratulations again to all of our winners and finalists, we'll see you all next time!

Engaging conversation abound...

From Denise Landau,

The lunch was completely amazing. I was blown away. Thank you so much for setting it up for us.

The WME agent, Chris Lockhart chatted with me a lot. I have repeatedly agonized over my answers to his questions. Hopefully, I was not a complete idiot.

I met Carolyn Kras at the lunch. I daydream that she is the writer you are raising money in London to produce. I really liked her.

I told Natalie Hanson how great the lunch was.

Thanks again. It was great.

Dee.

Greg Rodgers: Mutual Film

Yeah, it was a great time. Definitely met some interesting people, so thanks again for the invite.
I always enjoy reading the top material that comes out of your contest, so please continue to send my way.
Also, Freddie did a great job in your absence!
